Can I join Network?
You can subscribe to our newsletter and be invited to Network events from the age of 17, however you must be aged between 17.5 and 25 to join Network.

I'm an Explorer, when is the best time to join Network?
If you are already an Explorer, our advice would be to join our mailing list and register an interest at the age of 17 and then continue with Explorer Scouts but keep an eye on your emails and the Network website to see if there is anything you're interested in doing. Then, over the course of the year you should have had the opportunity to attend one or two events to get to know us and see what's on offer before finally leaving Explorers at the age of 18 and making the full transition to the Network section.

Do I have to have a criminal records check to be in Network?
Yes, all adults in Scouting, including Network, must be CRB checked in order to safeguard young people within the movement on activities where Network may be present alongside younger Sections.

What is the uniform?
Network have their own polo shirt which they wear to events and activities, along with a black and white neckerchief to identify us as members of the larger Merseyside Network. There is a formal shirt which must be worn on St George's Day and Remembrance day parade each year.

How much does Network cost?
There is an insurance fee (fee for 2011 to be confirmed) payable at the start of the calendar year - other than that, there is currently no regular subscription fee - activities are provided on a cost-price basis - just pay for the activities you go on!
